Step inside your library

This is where you can find all the tutorials, resources and courses that I've created for Academy members. Many of the lessons were made specifically for the Love Your Lens group's monthly photography challenges and feature members' images. I believe this is really important as it shows how people just like you have learned to use technical and composition skills to take some amazing images.

I hope you are inspired and encouraged to try out new techniques, new genres or a set yourself a project or goal. I know that this is the way your confidence and ability will soar and help you to become the photographer you'd like to be.

Start with setting some goals and then head across to 'How to use your camera' and watch 'How to shoot in aperture priority'. Then take a look at 'How to use the focus lock method'. Then you'll be ready to try out a simple rule of composition 'The Rule Of Thirds'. To make a start with editing use the free Snapseed app and watch this introductory video.

Keep practising until it becomes like second nature. Take another look at your goals and see how far you've come. Remember, don't compare yourself to other people, but just to yourself a few weeks ago, a month ago, a year ago. Don't forget to post in the Love Your Lens Academy Facebook group and ask for feedback.

Start in the 'Motivation' category and pick a couple of podcasts to listen to. Then sit down and write down some goals and ideas for projects. This is the best way to get inspired and excited to photograph again. Browse the Composition & Light category and pick some tools that you know you don't use enough. Or challenge yourself to shoot using backlight or in the golden hour.

Seeing your images in print, hanging on the walls in your home, always feels great so work on your editing skills and look into getting some printed.

Browse the categories to discover tutorials, videos, podcasts and PDFs on your chosen area .

Alternatively scroll down to view all the resources and courses and use the 'search' tool.
